What is Fascia?
Fascia is a thin, web-like layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports every organ, muscle, bone, nerve fiber, and blood vessel in the body. Trauma, posture or inflammation can create a binding down of fascia resulting in excessive pressure on the fascial web causing a chain reaction throughout the entire system.
What is Myofascial Release?
John Barn’s method of Myofascial Release is a gentle, sustained pressure is applied to points of restriction, allowing the connective tissue or the bind on the fascial web to release. This process is similar to melting a stick of cold butter, where gentle pressure is applied to slowly sink into the butter and release tension.
