Instructor Charlis Cunningham has trained in Wudang Sanfeng Pai Taiji Chuan since 2017 under the tutelage of Master Alexander Ivanov, 16th generation disciple of Wudang Sanfeng Pai Taiji Chuan. She is delighted to share the skills she has cultivated with the Michiana community and through dedicated practice bring harmony to the body and mind with Tai Chi/Taiji.
ELKHART TAI CHI
Most of what we teach is Tai Chi Therapy for Health. Tai Chi for health focuses on Qi Gong and the soft aspect of the Taiji Chuan system to create balance in the body and spirit. The set of movements and postures help the body cultivate a stronger, more flexible, and revitalized state of being. Mindfulness and Meditation with Sound Healing is another area of focus that we target in our weekly classes.Since Tai Chi is about balance of both yin and yang, soft and hard, we do incorporate dynamic, endurance training according to participant needs and requests. We train tuishou/push hands, partner work and applications throughout the year.
