Join Lucas on the third Sunday of each month beginning THIS Sunday at 1pm!
Yoga for Grief is designed to help you move through challenging emotions to experience a new sense of healing. Western society is terrified of deep feelings, especially fear, anxiety, and sadness. To truly heal, we need to face these feelings and work through them – rather than pretend they don’t exist.
Whether enduring the loss of a loved one, a painful breakup, or an unexpected divorce, grief can be all-consuming. It lives in our body, which is why we need to change more than just our mindset if we’re to move forward.
Fortunately, there is a way for you to reclaim a sense of peace. Together, we’ll face those hard emotions and work toward a future where your spark is reignited.
Each Yoga For Grief workshop will include pranayama (breath work), space and time for journaling, meditation and movement. We cannot think our way through grief, we must move through it to facilitate the physical release of accumulated and often stagnant emotions.
What to bring:
•Journal and writing utensil
•Water
•Comfort items (blanket, pillow, etc.)
•TissuesOptional items:
Photo (if grieving the loss of a loved one), Item that represents the loss in your life (wedding band, souvenir from a vacation, nameplate from your desk if you lost your job, etc.)Workshops will begin with a brief explanation of the flow of the class. We will then transition to breath work, movement, and meditation. These workshops will conclude with an optional time for sharing.
We all process grief differently and for some it’s vital to share, for others listening is most important.
