- Michiana Village PrenatalEvent Description:
Women (and girls) gather to support and nourish pregnant women. A village prenatal is a time and space dedicated to offering love and encouragement to mothers to be. Let’s share stories and dreams, our truths, and yummy fall vibes.
Come join us if you’re a pregnant woman or a woman who cherishes other women and wants to nurture those who are close to bringing new life to our world. The circle will be casual and held outdoors as long as the weather is tolerable. The location is a private residence near Stanley Clark school and the address will be sent to those who RSVP going.
If you’re a woman coming to support, you’re encouraged to bring a nourishing dish or warm beverage to share, cozy items like blankets and pillows, essential or body oils to rub into hands, feet, or shoulders, flowers or candles, an instrument to play, etc. Any mothers may be asked to share their birth and newborn stories as well.
Pregnant women, bring yourself and your willingness to receive, as well as be received. This is a time to share your excitement and concerns, as well as be pampered by your sisters.
Pregnancy is a great time to grow your community of like-minded people to turn to before and after your baby arrives. Village prenatals offer designated time to engage our instinctual female desire to connect with and support other women. The bonds made here are meant to extend outside of circle, especially into the days immediately before and after birth. Find sisters to bring you meals and do your laundry when they visit. These acts nourish us all and ripple out into all areas of life.
