- DRUMANANDA'S GEBUYQUAY ("GHOST SUPPER") DRUM FEEDING IN THE NATIVE AMERICAN TRADITIONEvent Description:
Please call to pre-register so we can gauge food: 574-277-0034.
As we approach All Hallow’s Eve, the veil between the worlds thins and we are more easily able to
connect to those who have gone before us into the next realm. In the Native American tradition of
Gebuyquay or Ghost Supper, this time is set aside for these suppers. Through drumming, chanting, story, prayer and food, we will create a sacred space to honor those who have passed on into the next world If you have lost
someone you wish to honor, you may bring a memento to share your story with us as we gather. In Native traditions, the drums and our ancestors are honored through a “drum feeding” ceremony. Please join us in giving honor to the Spirit of the Drum. You may bring your own personal drum for a feeding or help us honor the mother drums at Sacred Waters. At the end of the night the blessed plates of food made for the ancestors and the drums will be given to the animals outside.
Please bring some food items to share that will be edible the creatures that live at SW such as fruit, nuts, and breads. Love donation. - September 30, 2019, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
