- Community Drum Circle & Shamanic JourneyingEvent Description:Mikkal and the Circle of Elders of the Crows Nest Center of Shamanic Studies have decided to re-open the Crows Nest Community monthly drum circle with shamanic journeying. We are excited that each shamanic drum circle will be led by a Elder of the community.
We will meet on Sunday from 5-7pm.New Location: The Crows Nest monthly Drum Circle will take place at a new location, in the countryside and forest outside of the city of Niles, Michigan. Drew Loddard, an Elder of the Crows Nest Community, is providing his spacious retreat center for a safe gathering place. The setting, like Crows Nest in Dowagiac, is rustic and beautiful, with trails, fields, and forest. Initially we will have safely spaced sitting arrangements for the circle, and a limit to how many may attend so that we avoid over crowding. This space well ventilated, and very comfortable. Once you register for the Drum Circle, you will receive a Google Map link to guide you there. What to Bring: Loose fitting clothing, a mat to lie on, your drum, hand pan, and/or rattle, a journal and a pen, water bottle, and comfortable shoes for a woodland setting.Donation: Unlike workshops, there is no charge for the Drum Circle gatherings nor for the Medicine Sweats that will sometimes be offered with them. We do ask you offer a donation to help pay for the facilities and refreshments.Registration: We want to maintain proper safety precautions and do ask that you RSVP for each event so that we can ensure proper social distancing. At least one week prior to the event you will receive attendance confirmation and address information. For RSVP and questions please email admin@crowsnestshamanism.com. You will receive a response within 48 hours. please email admin@crowsnestshamanism.com. You will receive a response within 48 hours.
