- Basics of Visualization MeditationEvent Description:
A Mindful Place welcomes instructor Rachel Yoder as she offers a course in Visualization Meditation. In this 2 hour basics class you will discuss what defines meditation and how visualization can be used as a single-minded focus. The group will explore tools to support visualization and ways visualization can assist in relaxation, stress reduction, forming new associations, healing, and overall well-being. Common obstacles and solutions will also be addressed with time allotted for practice.
PREVIOUS MEDITATION EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.
COST: $20 INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS
REGISTRATION REQUIRED BY DECEMBER 5, 2019ABOUT RACHEL YODER: Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has worked in the mental health, medical, and social work fields for 20 plus years. She has experience working in addictions, medical detox, community mental health, State agencies and ultrasound. Rachel has 10 years experience in teaching positions related to wellness, including meditation. She has been a student of various forms of meditation for over 20 years and has taught meditation techniques and options in many of her career roles. Rachel credits meditation with changing her life more than any other experience or practice. We are delighted to have Rachel share her knowledge with A Mindful Place.
