Welcome to Mind~Body~Spirit Festival’s Classical 7 Circuit Labyrinth and “Take a Walk on the Quiet Side”. Painted on the grass, the labyrinth will be available all day for you to walk. Stop at the labyrinth tent before or after your walk to learn about labyrinths; there’ll be a “seed pattern” for children, and adults, to make their own 3 circuit labyrinth; and, if you don’t want to walk the labyrinth, we’ll have some handheld labyrinths for you to experience the benefits the labyrinth has to offer.
At 12:15 pm stop by the Mind Stage, and hear IUSB Professor Kevin Ladd, share about labyrinths. Finally, after his presentation come back to the labyrinth and join us as we “Walk as One at 1” in honor of the 17th celebration of World Labyrinth Day (WLD).
WLD is an annual international event celebrated every year on the first Saturday in May when thousands of people around the globe participate in “Walk as One at 1”, a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. At 1pm local time, we will join many around the world to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next. As part of this year’s “Walk as One at 1” experience, you will be accompanied by the sound frequencies of four area sound healing practitioners playing crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, bells, as well as other select instruments to add to this age-old sacred walk. You’ll find a practitioner at each of the 4 directions – Susan Margaret (North), Ryan Krueger (South), Karla Michelle (East), and Cindy Hawk (West). Take time as you walk to absorb their sounds.
Engage your senses, release those things that no longer serve you, and take a peaceful, silent walk as we “Walk as One at 1” with the world.
