HERstory

As a society we have tried to control the planet for hundreds of years, but our earth mother shows us again & again that she cannot be controlled. And so often humans fear what cannot be controlled. Women were so connected to Mother Earth that we could channel the energy of earth into society. This was so powerful beyond the understanding or intelligence of the mind, that because the church & patriarchal oppression did not understand it, they decided to control the women.

Women have had to fight their way to survive in this patriarchal world, we have proved we can do anything/everything a man can do. We didn’t give up any roles, we took on more to prove that we were equal and worthy of our place in the world. But along the way, we found ourselves depleted, worn out, lost, disconnected, numb, and isolated. Outcomes vary from chronic fatigue, lack of energy, emotional eating, disassociation from our bodies, autoimmune disorders, depression, repressed anger, and so many more negative outcomes from women merely trying to survive in a world that is not designed to support her.

Did you know that up until 1990 only men’s bodies were medically studied? That women are 7 times more likely to be misdiagnosed?

Did you know that your body has a million germs in it right now, if not Billions! Out of every 10 cells in your body, only ONE of them is human, the rest are bacteria & microbes. Your body is made out of bacteria and so much of that bacteria exists to support your Thrival! The thrival of these good bacteria are essential in order to fight off the bad bacteria. Studies have shown that washing your hands with anti-bacterial soap can play a role in decreasing the good bacteria in your gut! Imagine what all the hand sanitizer does! Studies also show that children who eat dirt actually have better immune systems then children who don’t.

Did you know that in the US alone over 47 million americans every year are prescribed antibiotics unnecessarily? A study done by the CDC sites that over 70% of antibiotics are prescribed without reason. Antibiotics do the same as anti-bacterial soap – they KILL the GOOD bacteria. Your gut is a sensitive ECO-System and when we take unnecessary antibiotics repeatedly our immune system lowers which causes more imbalances in our system, not healing. Which western medicine never heals, it creates customers.

Despite what the patriarchy would like to tell us, we are not separate from our planet. The cycles that exist outside of us also exist within us. The wise woman knows that her power is sourced from her connection with the earth and it’s elements. She knows nature does not compete, nature collaborates. The wise woman knows the journey to healing is not linear, but a spiral unraveling and peeling off layer by layer. She knows it is our birthright to feel held, safe, and supported.
