- Healing Drum - Rhythm & Sound WorkshopEvent Description:In this immersive workshop we will be utilizing drum and percussion instruments for meditation, journey work, sound therapy, and rhythmic entrainment.Percussive instruments have been used all throughout the world and throughout history as a way to bridge the physical and spiritual energies in and around us, as well as a means of communication and to aid in social cohesion.Sound, rhythm, and vibration help take us deep into our being, move stagnant energy, inspire and motivate us.Whether looking to learn new ways to use your own instrument(s) for inner work, to develop a framework for using sound to help others, or to simply experience, learn, and enjoy the way of rhythm and sound, this workshop will be a refreshing experience for anyone.Bring a drum, shaker, rattle, bell, and use some that will be provided. No prior experience necessary!To reserve your spot, please call us at 574-855-1405 or visit our website: www.beyondzenstudio.com/workshopsThe cost of this workshop is $35Nicholas Brabhan has spent over two decades playing and studying drums and percussion in a wide variety of traditions, approaches, and settings, from traditional African, Brazilian, and Cuban drumming to more modern styles of music, as well as drumming for sound healing sessions and ceremonies in the US, and Peruvian Amazon. Nicholas spent much of the 2010s studying and mentoring with Jungian psychologist, medical anthropologist and shamanic teacher C. Michael Smith Ph.D., where he developed and exercised his approach to using rhythm and sound for psychotherapeutic and spiritual healing work. Nicholas is currently in study with the CHEK Institute learning holistic corrective exercise kinesiology, lifestyle management and coaching.
