Event Description: s the days become shorter and shorter, the darkness is showing up for it’s turn. Do you find yourself wishing for the light and the longer days? Or do you embrace the night sky even though it seems to come in the middle of the day? Every season brings with it the energy that is needed for the stages and cycles in nature. The autumn offers us that poetic beauty of shedding what we no longer need so we can let go. After all the leaves have fallen, the bare branches are exposed. It can seem barren and hopeless, like everything is dead. When we really tune in, we can see that the reason the leaves fall is because the trees shift their focus and bring all of their energy down into their roots to prepare to survive the cold winter months. This is an embodiment of Yin energy. Every step in the cycle is important, and even necessary for anything to evolve. When we take cues from nature, our bodies and spirits can be supported to access the gifts that are present for us at each stage.
It has been said of the Metal Yin Ox Year that the work you do or do not do will either propel you forward times 3 or pull you back times 3. Which way are you heading right now?
Even though we are approaching the winter solstice and end of the solar calendar year 2021, we have until the first of February 2022 to sharpen the point of the direction we are heading.
Now is the time to embrace the pace and focus on the inner work that usually we are too busy and distracted to address. The question is, can we accept this? Can we embrace the beauty of stillness and sit with our soul?
The winter months are connected to the energy of our kidneys. Kidneys are associated with the element of water, as the kidneys are the lowest of our internal vital organs and water always goes the the lowest point. (Aka sea level). When our kidneys are stagnant it can indicate that fear is taking up too much space and given too much energy. When our kidneys are nourished with flowing energy, we are more in tune with the essence of who we truly are.
In this workshop, we will dive deep within the darkness to acknowledge our fears, give the darkness a hug, and reconnect with our true essence.
Weaving together the ancient sacred healing arts of Qigong and essential oils, Yessica will guide you through an energetic experience that will bring about powerful and transformational energy through your body and soul.
