MIND, BODY, SPIRIT FESTIVAL: Other Activities 2025

The Magic Between the Moments

Not everything at the MIND, BODY, SPIRIT Festival happens on a schedule — and that’s where the real surprises begin. Our Other Activities are the in-between delights: spontaneous, soulful, and sometimes a little whimsical.

Take a peaceful pause with the Walk as One at 1pm, as part of World Labryinth Day. Request a heartfelt verse from Poetry on Demand, or be a part of a Shakespeare sonnet when you least expect it. Cozy up for Story Hour, or make your mark in the evolving Community Art Book, a shared tapestry of creativity and connection.

Wander, wonder, and let your day unfold in beautiful, unexpected ways.

Walk as One at 1 / at the Labyrinth Walk

World Labyrinth Day, is an annual international event celebrated every year on the first Saturday in May when thousands of people around the globe participate in “Walk as One at 1”, a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience.

At 1pm local time, we will join many around the world to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next.  As part of this year’s “Walk as One at 1” experience, you will be accompanied by the sound frequencies of four area sound healing practitioners playing crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, bells, as well as other select instruments to add to this age-old sacred walk.  You’ll find a practitioner at each of the 4 directions – Susan Margaret (North), Ryan Krueger (South), Karla Michelle (East), and Cindy Hawk (West).  Take time as you walk to absorb their sounds.

Engage your senses, release those things that no longer serve you, and take a peaceful, silent walk as we “Walk as One at 1” with the world.

Storytelling & Community Art Book / Booth #14

Come play with PAN-O-PLY!

At Story Hour, every hour, a local writer begins the conversation by reading from their work. We invite people listening to respond by telling their own story, building a moment of listening and sharing.

PAN-O-PLY will also have a Community Art Book. Add your art, poem or other writing to the book as we celebrate the voice of Michiana.

Shakespeare Experience / Booth #13

Shades of Orange aims to make theatre more accessible by breaking down its traditional barriers. Through its regular community readings, unique play adaptations, multiple community partnerships, and events such as Mind, Body, Spirit festival.
Dust off or discover your own acting chops with us without the pressure of an audience. Stop by our booth to learn more and spin our infamous wheel of whimsy. Each slot on the wheel will have a different scene for you or your friends to act out and just play with. We’ll have scripts, props, and a few costume pieces to help bring your scene to life!

Poetry on Demand / Booth #15

Poetry on Demand: Festival-goers may give a topic & Tony Brewer will write, type up on card stock, & perform the poem in 10-20 minutes for a small donation.
