A Wild Time, with AJ! Bring kids of all ages out to join Amanda Jo Boener, National Geographic Certified Educator, as she reads an engaging story, invites open conversation with all, shares wild edible plants your family can forage, & homemade wild snacks to try from her family’s recipe book!
With many years experience teaching to children & adults alike about foraging year-round in the Midwest, AJ is always excited to share her knowledge & love for for all things wild! She is passionate about seeing ourselves as a part of Nature & this hour-long interactive presentation will be spent immersing ourselves in various activities that promote that connection. Try to make it there on time to either presentation, so the kids can join for the intro, breathing exercise, story, plant show-and-tell, & snacks that will all tie the theme together, with the last 15 minutes focused on answering plant questions & sharing examples. She will have some of her favorite foraging books for caregivers to check-out & lots of plant examples for all to experience-taste, smell, & feel!
